Our Mission

The Arc of Frederick County helps people with developmental disabilities to live enviable lives.

Enviable lives are the lives we all lead, filled with purpose and meaning, and with friends and family. This is accomplished by providing services, advocacy, and creating supportive communities.

What's Happening at the Arc of Frederick County

The Arc is happy to announce our Fall 2026 Parents' Day Out and Super Sibshop dates. Parents' Day Out provides FREE respite care to children with disabilities and their siblings and Super Sibshops brings brothers and sisters of children with disabilities together for fun activities and times of sharing! To meet the needs of participants, registration is required. Please contact Brianna at bhand-solomon@arcfc.org to register for PDO, and Qionna at qirby@arcfc.org to register for Super Sibshops!

The Arc THANKS Mona Curtis, the Vice President of The State of Maryland Order of Eagles 1067 Frederick Auxiliary for being a champion for children and adults with autism and their family members! Mona rallied awareness and support among the Eagles and beyond and gifted The Arc with a generous cumulative contribution from the hearts she inspired! We thank Mona and each donor for standing alongside The Arc as we help people with autism and their families!

The Arc extends our gratitude to Heather Ehart Hinkle, Director of Disability Access Services at Frederick Community College, for presenting on the pathways to higher education to Voices of Ability, a local self-advocacy group. Frederick Community College is a welcoming academic institution that partners with The Arc to include students with disabilities. Our collaboration has served as a catalyst to advance inclusion for education, job development, and personal enrichment locally and beyond. We thank FCC students and teachers for respecting diversity in the classroom and value leadership at Frederick Community College who create educational options to serve all in our community.
