What to Do During a Traffic Stop
Individuals with permits or a driver's license are invited to sign up to participate in a driving course to support them with learning what to do during a traffic stop! The course will be facilitated by The Frederick City Police Department in collaboration with The Arc and Pathfinders for Autism at The Arc at Market Street on April 3rd. Registration is required. Time slots for the traffic stop course are between 9:00am-11:30am and 1:00pm-3:00pm. Multiple people will be able to go through the course during the same time slot. Drivers participating in a morning time slot should plan to attend the training session at 8:30am, and drivers participating in an afternoon time slot should plan to attend the training session at 12:30 pm.
***Individuals who do not drive can also choose to be a passenger in a vehicle to learn and share in this experience***
In addition to the training, people can stop by The Arc at Market Street between 11:00am and 3:00pm on April 3rd for snacks and free lunch while visiting with the police officers and checking out the police cruisers, resource tables, and games.
